You don't have to wait until October to hear new music from Seventeen! The boy band is releasing a new single tomorrow. And although every song from Seventeen is something special, this is a very special project: This time the boy band is working with the American boy band “New Kids on the Block” (NKOTB)!
A few hours ago, NKOTB uploaded a short teaser for the collaboration on Twitter, triggering a real storm of excitement!
The comments under the tweet show general excitement and anticipation for the upcoming collaboration. Fans from both fandoms share their excitement about the unexpected collaboration and speculate on the nature of the project as well as the musical direction.
Many Seventeen fans also mentioned that their parents are fans of New Kids on the Block and that they are excited about the single together. This collaboration has already united generations!
"New Kids on the Block" (NKOTB) is an American boy band that was formed in the late 1980s.
The group consists of members Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight and Jonathan Knight. They were known for their catchy pop and R&B hits, as well as their influence on the popular culture of the time.
They gained international fame with hits like "Step by Step" and "Hangin' Tough" and played a significant role in the development of the boy band era of the 1990s. Although they went on hiatus, they have made several comebacks and still tour from time to time.
"Seventeen" is a South Korean K-pop boy band formed in 2015 by Pledis Entertainment.
It has 13 members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino. Seventeen is characterized by its versatility, as the members not only perform as singers and dancers, but are also involved in the production of their music. Her music spans various genres, from pop and R&B to hip-hop. With hits such as "Pretty U", "Don't Wanna Cry" and "Left & Right", they have gained a wide international fan base and are considered one of the leading groups in K-pop.
The Boygroup is currently preparing for a comeback in October, so we didn't expect to hear anything new from the boys yet. But of course we are very happy about the news!
It's not Seventeen's first collaboration with a US artist.
