BIOGRAPHY

Jongho (종호) was born on October 12, 2000 in Ilsan, South Korea, but moved to Seoul at a young age. He attended Noil Middle School and graduated from Surak High School. In October 2017, a few of KQ Entertainment's trainees took part in a casting for the show MIXNINE (a survival reality show). Jongho was one of the four trainees who made it onto the show. He placed 27th in the MIXNINE Just Dance showcase, but was later eliminated in the 10th episode. In the end he reached 43rd place.

Vor Jonghos großem Debüt war er Teil von „KQ Fellaz“ – so nennt sich die Gruppe von KQ, in der alle Trainees zusammen trainieren. Am 24. Oktober 2018 debütierte Jongho als Mitglied von ATEEZ mit dem Album „Treasure“. Die Gruppe besteht aus den Mitgliedern Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung und Jongho.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Als Sänger und Maknae der vielversprechenden und bunten Gruppe "ATEEZ" hat Jongho gemeinsam mit seinen Mitgliedern eine Fülle von Meilensteinen erreicht und sich bei jedem Comeback kontinuierlich selbst übertroffen. Im Folgenden haben wir die wichtigsten Erfolge für dich zusammengefasst.

• In December 2018, ATEEZ was named “New Asian Artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards” (MAMA), marking a notable start for the up-and-coming group.
• A year later, in January 2019, they received the coveted “New Artist of the Year Award” at the Golden Disc Awards, securing a permanent place in the Korean music scene.
• International recognition followed in October 2020 when they received the title of "Best Korean Act" at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), demonstrating their global presence.
• In 2021 wurde ATEEZ erneut bei den The Fact Music Awards als "Artist of the Year" ausgezeichnet.
• Im Januar 2022 erhielt ATEEZ bei den Seoul Music Awards den begehrten Bonsang Award.
• With the release of their EP The World EP.Fin: Will, they achieved diamond and platinum status in South Korea in December 2023.
• In 2024, her song "Not Okay" achieved the coveted platinum status in Japan.

Jongho is known for his voice with a unique character. He released his first solo song in the album Fin:Will.

Jongho has only done a few solo filmographic projects so far. However, he played a supporting role in the K-drama “Imitation” and has his own episode in the Lee Mujin interview series where he shows off his skills.
