BIOGRAPHY
Beomgyu (범규) is a South Korean singer, songwriter and producer. He is a member of the boy band TXT, which debuted in March 2019 under Big Hit Entertainment. Beomgyu was born on March 13, 2001 in Daegu, South Korea. In addition to his musical talent, he plays the guitar and is known for his energetic personality. Beomgyu attended Hanlim Multi Art School and was part of a local band in Daegu before his debut.
In 2016, he was discovered by a Big Hit Entertainment casting manager when he was a freshman in high school. The manager suggested him to come to Seoul for an audition. However, Beomgyu declined because he was in exam time. The manager traveled to Daegu again to hold a special audition just for Beomgyu. Beomgyu shone with his guitar playing and was accepted.
On the first day that Beomgyu joined Big Hit Entertainment as an official trainee, he was informed that he would be part of the debut team. He was the last member to join the team, which later debuted as TXT. Before becoming a trainee, he had never had singing or dancing lessons.
After joining Big Hit Entertainment, Beomgyu enrolled in dance at Hanlim Arts School in Seoul, a prestigious school with the highest number of trainees and idols. He was a trainee for 3 years before debuting in 2019.
Beomgyu was recognized upon his debut for his "pretty" visual features and slim figure, which perfectly fit the group's dreamy and boyish concept. Starting with the promotion of “0X1=LOVESONG” in 2021, Beomgyu wore his hair long, which received a lot of praise from fans.

“TOMORROW X TOGETHER”, or “TXT” for short, are considered one of the first boy groups of the 4th generation and have left a distinctive mark on the K-pop industry with a discography spanning a wide range of genres such as synth-pop, disco, hip-hop, punk and hybrid rock. They are known for their fantastic concepts that pay homage to a variety of films/animations/fairy tales such as Harry Potter, Peter Pan, The Little Prince and others. They attach great importance to the narrative element of their discography - their albums have the words “chapters”, “scenes” and “minisodes” in the title and are reminiscent of stage dramas. TXT's most famous hits include "Blue Hour", "0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)", "Sugar Rush Ride" and "Chasing That Feeling". Here are some of their greatest achievements:

- 2021: “The Chaos Chapter: Freeze” was named one of the “Best Albums of 2021” by TIME magazine, underscoring its cultural significance.
- 2022: TXT became the fastest fourth-generation K-pop group to reach 10 million subscribers on their official YouTube channel in December 2022.
- 2022: TXT became the first K-pop group to headline Lollapalooza, performing a 90-minute performance to close the festival.
- 2023: The album “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” took first place on the “Billboard 200” charts.
