In our article about the colorful range of fan merchandise that K-Pop fans can treat themselves to, we already explained what it's all about with the lightsticks that fans wave at concerts to support their favorite artists.
Every band has its own, individually designed lightstick, which in some cases is so extravagant that uninformed onlookers don't realize it's actually a lamp. These extraordinary treasures are not only ideal for creating a sea of light, also called an "Ocean", together with other fans in the dark arenas at concerts of your favorite band, but also for showing at festivals where several artists perform which band you have sworn your loyalty to. Of course, they are also perfect for an evening in front of the TV or simply as a stylish night light.
Lightsticks are often sold at the concerts themselves too, so that as many fans as possible can equip themselves with one. Online, there are even keychains, miniature versions of the popular lamps, which can light up as well.
Today we would like to introduce you to a few of our favorites, so you get an impression of how different and beautiful lightsticks can be.
Stray Kids

The Stray Kids lightstick has the typical round head that most lightsticks have. Its name “Nachimbong” is a combination of the words “Nachimban”, “compass” in English, and “bong” for stick, because the head contains a red and white compass that can even spin inside the sphere. This compass has no direction and so embodies Stray Kids' sweet message to their fans: “You make Stray Kids stay”.
If you want a piece of Stray Kids to stay with you, you can now order the lightstick from us!
Apink - Panda Bong

The girl group's fan club is called “Pink Panda”, so the group's lightstick looks like a panda head. Logical, right? But above all, simply cute! Even the power button looks like a panda head.
The new version, released in 2018, lights up and blinks like the original in white, but has a transparent back in which the Apink logo can be seen. If you think the sweet little panda belongs on your shelf, you've come to the right place here!
The Boyz

In March of this year, almost four years after their debut, The Boyz finally released their own lightstick. Fans might think they're holding a heart-shaped megaphone, but this one makes light instead of noise: red, white and rainbow colors, from red to white, blinking red and blinking even faster.
The new centerpiece in every The Boyz fan's collection doesn't have a name yet, but it hopefully won't take much longer; the band has asked their fans to contribute ideas. What would you call it?

Blackpink

“BI-ping-bong” by Blackpink is definitely one of the more unusual lightsticks, whose function isn't obvious at first glance. It looks like a rubber hammer, which even gives off a squeak when you give the person next to you a little tap with it. If that annoys you, you can also turn the squeak off with a switch on the top. Fans who would rather wave the lightstick at concerts won't be disappointed, because both sides of the hammer glow in a vivid pink. Anyone who buys the hammer even gets a stand with it, which makes it possible to display the lightstick decoratively.
According to YG Entertainment, the members of Blackpink even designed the lightstick themselves. Well, if that's not a reason to add it to your collection!
SHINee - Shating Star
SHINee has been in the business for several years, and while fans at earlier concerts still waved simple aqua-colored glow sticks, today they proudly hold the “Shating Star”, an elegant stick whose head is shaped like a diamond that looks like a five-pointed star from above. Inside there is another diamond with the band name on its top, and even the button features a diamond. This refined piece is clearly one of our favorites.

ITZY - Lightring

At the beginning we said that lightsticks are also suitable as a stylish night light, perhaps especially for the fans who don't have the chance to attend a concert. There is probably none for which that is more true than the ITZY Lightring. As the name suggests, this is not a stick but a ring, made up one third of a white grip area and two thirds of a transparent tube that glows in different colors when you switch the Lightring on. The battery compartment and the power button are located on the white grip area.
The special thing: the Lightring comes with a wall mount that can be screwed to the wall. That way you can hang your treasure on the wall, switch it on and enjoy the atmosphere.
