Two weeks ago we already reported how BTS dropped a hint about the June comeback at their concert in Las Vegas. Now it's finally official and we know more details!
Proof
The video used to announce the album ended with a well-known slogan: “We Are Bulletproof”. That's not only the title of a song from their debut album, but also a reference to the name of the band, which stands for “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”. It's not the title of the album, but almost. A new logo trailer on BTS's official Twitter account shows that the “Proof” here comes from the word “Bulletproof”.
What kind of music will this album contain? We'll hopefully find out soon. Let's pass the time while we wait by taking a look at the contents of the physical album, because we already know more about that:
There are two versions to choose from - the Standard Edition and the Compact Edition.
The Standard Edition is a rectangular black box held together by a transparent sleeve. It gets interesting when you open the box, because instead of lifting the lid as usual, you unfold it in the middle and reveal the inside. And it's quite a sight! The box contains three books titled “The Art of Proof” (132 pages), “Photograph” (104 pages) and “Epilogue” (80 pages). The content is still a secret, but we suspect that all three contain photos of the band.
Three books in one album? That's unusual, and as if that weren't cool enough, there are a number of extras too: a 7-piece photocard set, one of 8 random photocards and one of 8 random postcards!
Of course the CD can't be missing either, and here too BTS has apparently pulled out all the stops. The separate CD Plate holds no fewer than 3 CDs! And there's also a 44-page lyric booklet.
If you pre-order the album, you can optionally get a poster as well.
Based on this lineup, we can assume that “Proof” will be a special album that shouldn't be missing from any collection!
Before you picture the collector's item on your shelf, though, let's take a quick look at the Compact Edition:
As the name suggests, this version is a bit more compact. Buyers get an 80-page booklet, one of 7 random photocards, one of 8 random postcards, a mini poster, a discography guide and also 3 CDs in a separate CD Plate.
