A few days ago, BTS announced a new album for June, and the fans' excitement couldn't be bigger!
In April, the global boy group ended their “Permission to Dance Tour” with four concerts in Las Vegas. On the last day, April 16, the concert ended with a 50-second video. It shows black-and-white clips from all of BTS's music videos since their debut in 2013 and continues as the group says together "We Are Bulletproof" while the lettering fades in at the same time. The video ends with a date: 2022.06.10.
The ARMYs quickly put two and two together that a new album would be released on that day. Big Hit Music confirmed this theory a day later! On top of that, the agency released the video on Twitter for all fans who weren't at the concert. The phrase “We Are Bulletproof” took over the worldwide Twitter trends. That is probably clear proof that the fans couldn't be much happier!
Both the video and the slogan are sure to make some of us nostalgic. After all, "We Are Bulletproof" is not only a nod to the name BTS, which stands for "Bulletproof Boy Scouts", but also the title of a song that appeared in 2013 on the debut album "2 Cool 4 Skool". A few days after the title track "No More Dream", it got its own music video too.
The new album, whose title we don't know yet, is the first studio album since the release of “BE” in November 2020. Since then, several successful singles have been released, including "Permission to Dance", "Butter" and most recently "My Universe" in September, but we're especially looking forward to now getting a whole album full of new songs! Especially since even the last single was already seven months ago.
The new music arrives just in time for BTS's ninth anniversary on June 12. It couldn't be better!
