Bang Yedam & Mashiho haben Treasure verlassen!
A few hours ago, YG Entertainment announced that Bang Yedam and Mashiho have left the boy group Treasure! The two have been on a break since May; Mashiho for health reasons and Yedam to study music more intensively. According to YG, these are also the reasons why the two have now left Treasure. Mashiho needs more time for his treatment and Yedam wants to fully concentrate on his studies to develop as a producer.
In February this year, Treasure still released the album "The Second Step: Chapter One" with all twelve members, followed by a Japanese version of the album at the end of March. This was already the last activity with Yedam and Mashiho.
While the two took a break, the other ten members presented their most recent album "The Second Step: Chapter Two" in October and shortly before that a magazine celebrating their second anniversary . Fans, however, naturally hoped that Treasure would soon return with twelve members. But now we have to get used to the fact that the boy group officially consists of only ten members: Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Jaehyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Jeongwoo, and Junghwan.
Treasure is far from the only group to lose members this year!
While it's not uncommon for idols to leave their group every now and then, this year K-pop fans may have had to digest this often shocking news a bit more often than usual. It already started in February when Denise left girl group Secret Number and continued in April when Naeun left A-Pink and Chihoon parted ways with boy group TO1.
Since then, hardly a month went by without one or more groups saying goodbye to members:
