The end of the year is approaching, and with it comes the season of award shows, Season’s Greetings and Christmas songs. But ATEEZ fans have one more special highlight to look forward to in 2023. The boy group has finally announced their new album “THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL” today, which you can pre-order right now!
It will be released on December 1 and is the third and probably last part of the “THE WORLD” album series, which began on July 29, 2022.
This morning, ATEEZ revealed four different versions on Twitter and Instagram:
The three standard versions bear the familiar titles “A”, “DIARY” and “Z”.
The albums’ covers feature the boy group’s logo on a solid-colored background: gold, red or blue. The colors are very bold and make the albums a real eye-catcher on your shelf!
We could spend many minutes admiring the cover, but the contents are even more exciting: you can look forward to a thick 112-page photobook that includes a CD and a handful of extras. You get an album sticker, one of eight possible member stickers and one of nine postcards.
And of course, photocards are included too: one of eight possible A photocards and one of eight possible B photocards.
It is worth getting the set of all three versions, because absolutely all of the contents are designed differently depending on the version.
This applies to the photocards as well as the postcards, the stickers, the photobook and even the CD. So you are guaranteed not to get any duplicates!
If you love photocards, we recommend taking a look at the “+ Soundwave Photocard” variant. You can find it here!
This variant additionally includes one of eight exclusive Soundwave “Whisper Ver.” photocards. Here, too, it is worth buying the set, because then you can look forward to not only three Whisper photocards, but also one of eight Namjjiksa photocards! The more, the better, right?
The Digipak version has quite a bit to offer as well!
Like the A version, the Digipak version comes in an elegant gold. Besides the CD, you can expect a THANKS TO message, one of eight photocards and one of eight stickers. There is also a 28-page booklet that whisks you away into the glamorous world of ATEEZ for a while. Exactly which pictures await you is a surprise, though, because there are eight different booklets. Which one you get is random.
If one photocard isn’t enough for you, you should put the “+ Soundwave Photocard” variant in your cart!
It additionally comes with an exclusive Soundwave photocard.
The THE WORLD series is already ATEEZ’s third album series.
Their debut album “Treasure Ep.1 : All to Zero” already started a series. From October 2018 to February 2020, a total of eight albums with “Treasure” in the name were released. It was followed by the “Zero : Fever” series with five albums. This began in July 2020 and ended in May 2022. The “The World” series started in July 2022.
We suspect that the new album “THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL” marks the end of the series, since it no longer has a number in the title, but “FIN”, which stands for “finale”. Looking back at the other album series, though, it is possible that a Japanese album with the title will still be released, or that even more parts will follow. Instead of “FIN”, these could be called “Epilogue”, for example.
Do you have all the album series in your collection?
The anticipation for the comeback is clouded by sad news:
Yesterday, KQ Entertainment announced that Seonghwa’s grandmother has passed away. The singer has taken a short break from his activities to say goodbye to his grandmother, but already plans to perform again tomorrow at “Immortal Songs in New York”.
We wish Seonghwa and his family all the best.
