SM Entertainment is home to some of the most successful K-Pop groups, with countless fans all over the world! So when Season’s Greetings season begins, fans eagerly wait for the SM artists to reveal their packages. Especially because it has become a tradition by now that almost all SM groups announce their Season’s Greetings on the same day. This year is no different!
The big day has come, because today eight groups presented their 2024 Season’s Greetings: Red Velvet, aespa, TVXQ!, Super Junior, NCT Dream, NCT 127, WayV and RIIZE. The boy group RIIZE only released their debut album “Get a Guitar” on September 4, so the 2024 Season’s Greetings is the first one for the boys.
As always, the SM artists’ Season’s Greetings are all structured very similarly:
Of course, each of the eight boxes has a different concept, but the contents are almost the same. Among other things, we can look forward to a desk calendar with 14 pages and an elegant hard cover diary with 120 pages. We are already looking forward to being greeted every month by a new picture of our favorite group!
But that is only the beginning! The calendar and the diary are complemented by many varied extras that will warm the heart of every collector.
These include two folded posters, an A4 poster set, stickers, several 4 cut photos, postcards in a matching photo holder and a photocard set. You also get a little surprise: a random Polaroid photocard of one of the group members.
How many pieces each set contains exactly depends on the respective group:
The aespa Season’s Greetings, for example, includes twelve A4 posters, four 4 cut photos, four postcards and eight photocards. In the NCT 127 box, on the other hand, you will find twelve A4 posters, nine 4 cut photos, nine postcards and nine photocards.
And there is one more big difference. Each box contains another extra that is different for each group:
- Red Velvet - Deco Sticker Set (5 pcs.)
- aespa - Ballet Club Registration Forms (4 pcs.)
- TVXQ! - Accordion Postcard
- Super Junior - Paper Topper Set (9 pcs.)
- NCT Dream - Film Photos (7 pcs.)
- NCT 127 - ID Cards (9 pcs.)
- WayV - Deco Sticker Set (6 pcs.)
- RIIZE - Deco Sticker
Which of these extras interests you the most?
Of course, we noticed that a few popular SM artists are still missing: SHINee, EXO and Oh!GG (Girls’ Generation)
It wouldn’t be the first time that a few groups join later, so it is probably only a matter of time until we hear from them too. The anticipation is especially high among SHINee fans, because this year all four members are finally involved in the Season’s Greetings again! Last year, Taemin was not part of it because of his military service.
However, this year two members of these groups have left the label: Sunny of Girls Generation left in August and EXO’s D.O. on October 19. We are curious whether they will still be involved in the Season’s Greetings. The effects could be felt most clearly with Oh!GG. The unit has so far consisted of the five members who are still with SM Entertainment. Sunny’s departure from SM Entertainment could mean that she has also left Oh!GG.
Has your favorite group already announced its Season’s Greetings?
Besides the eight SM artists, Dreamcatcher and StayC have also already presented their packages. Of course, you can find them in our shop as well.
