What songs did you listen to over the weekend?

I listened to "SNEAKERS" by Itzy up and down! At first I was a little skeptical. I think we were all a bit confused when, after the first very elegant image teasers showing Ryujin, Lia, Yeji and co in ball gowns and golden crowns, the brightly colored concept photos for the title song "SNEAKERS" suddenly made the rounds. The members are wearing loose, colorful everyday clothes and, as the name suggests, sneakers. How does that fit together?

The music video showed how it works: The singers were seen in a castle wearing ball gowns with sneakers underneath! To that they sing that they don't need guidance and find their own way:

I was still skeptical and maybe a little disappointed because after the royal concept photos I was expecting a slightly calmer and more graceful theme song, but I ended up liking the song more than I expected. And I can't get enough of the choreography; I could really watch it all day!

The physical album, on the other hand, won me over right away: on the one hand, the photo book contains the initial photos with the ball gowns and crowns. Plus, there are pictures of Chaeryeong, Yuna, and the others in fancy black and white blouses, short skirts, and sparkly high heels! Have you ordered "Checkmate" yet? What do you think of the comeback?

Speaking of which, there's another album that I can't get out of my head since its release last week:

Chungha!

It's been a few days now since Chungha finally released her second studio album "Bare & Rare Pt.1", but I still watch the music video for "Sparkling" multiple times every day!

I love the song, Chungha's voice, her bright hair and the underwater setting. In fact, I think it's a bit of a shame that the pictures from the music video setting didn't make it into the photo book, but you can't have everything right? What is your favorite song from Chungha?

Oh, one more thing before I call it a day: Have you seen AleXa's cover of Lady Gaga's "Hold My Hand"? I've been eagerly awaiting a comeback ever since AleXa won the American Song Contest, but now I can wait even less! Well, at least now there's another song of hers that we can listen to on continuous loop!
