This year, many Korean stars have announced a world tour and some have even already played their first concerts. For example, the kick-off of Red Velvet’s tour ‘Red Velvet 4th Concert “R to V”’ took place in Seoul on April 1 and 2. On April 15 and 16, the fifth world tour of Twice also started: “Twice 5th World Tour Ready To Be”. But some tours have already come to an end, too. For example, Stray Kids have just finished their second world tour!
We would like to take a quick look back while we look forward to all the concerts still ahead of us:
Stray Kids 2nd World Tour “Maniac”
As you may know, the first world tour “District 9: Unlock” took place in 2019/2020, but more than half of the dates had to be cancelled because of the global Covid-19 pandemic. Two years later, the boy group was finally able to set off on a new tour and make up for everything that wasn’t possible during the lockdown!
The Maniac Tour began on April 29 in Seoul, South Korea and took the boy group through Asia, Australia and North America. In total, the tour includes 42 concerts! It ended on April 2 in Los Angeles, a year after it began. The setlist changed a little bit with each leg of the tour, but some of their biggest hits like Maniac, All in, District 9, Hellevator or God’s Menu were always included. In total, Bangchan, Felix and the others performed 21 to 24 songs at every concert, and that doesn’t even include the encore. That consisted of another four to eight songs each time! Did you get the chance to see the tour?
Unfortunately, Stray Kids did not come to Europe as hoped. On the first world tour, the boy group had planned concerts in Spain, Germany, Belgium and France, among other places, but they were all cancelled because of Covid-19. Europe was missing entirely from the new tour. We hope to be able to welcome the boy group here one day!
At least K-Pop concerts now take place regularly in Europe:
We have already reported on which stars visited us in 2022 and this year we are not coming away empty-handed either. Some K-Pop groups and solo artists have already given concerts in Germany, France and other European countries this year. These include The Rose, Kang Daniel, Ateez, Jackson Wang and NCT Dream.
Concerts by Red Velvet and Bang Yongguk are still ahead of us. And they will certainly not be the last. For example, fans firmly believe that Twice will finally come to Europe this year, not all dates have been announced yet.
Which concerts have you already attended this year and who would you still like to see live? Let us know in the comments!
