SM Entertainment announced several comebacks and new projects for the second half of 2024 back in February. Some of these plans have already been realized, including Aespa's first studio album and a new mini album by Red Velvet. Other projects are still pending. A few have also been added. SM Entertainment announced new details today:
NEUE BOYGROUP, NEUE GIRLGROUP & NAEVIS
As mentioned in our last article, three new artists will be debuting this year: Solo artist "Naevis", a new girl group and a British boy group.
Naevis is due to release a single in the third quarter, so this month or next month.
The British boy group now has a name: "Dear Alice". They consist of five members and will soon be presenting themselves in a Relity show entitled "Korea : The K-Pop Experience". The show will feature the group's preparations for their debut.
As if that wasn't enough, SM is apparently also working on a five-member trot idol group made up of former contestants from the casting show "Mr. Trot". Their emergence is also to be captured in a show.
THESE SOLO DEBUTS AND COMEBACKS AWAIT US:
SHINee's Minho will soon make his first comeback as a solo artist, almost two years after his solo debut with "Chase."
Girls Generation's Taeyeon is planning a comeback with a new mini album. It would be the singer's sixth mini album. "To.X" was last released in November 2023.
Super Junior's Yesung also wants to release a new mini album, one year after "Unfading Sense".
EXO’s Chanyeol, NCT’s Jaehyun & Red Velvet’s Irene werden noch dieses Jahr Solo debütieren:
Jaehyun's debut album "J" is already available for pre-order in our store as of today!
Chanyeol has been on stage as a member of EXO since 2012 and also founded the sub-unit "EXO-SC" with Sehun in 2019. More than 10 years after his debut, the charming singer is finally venturing into a solo career. We will probably find out more details in just a few days, because like Jaehyun, Chanyeol is also set to release his debut album in August.
Irene hat am 1. August ihr 10. Jubiläum mit Red Velvet gefeiert und ist seit vier Jahren auch als Mitglied der Unit “Irene & Seulgi” aktiv. Ihr Solo Debüt ist für das vierte Quartal geplant.
NCT DREAM AND AESPA WILL SOON BE BACK WITH NEW MUSIC!
NCT DREAM have been traveling through Asia for their world tour since the beginning of May. At the end of August, the boy band will continue the tour in Latin America and then play several concerts in the United States and Europe. The tour is scheduled to end on December 1 in Seoul, South Korea. In the meantime, the boys have apparently been working hard on new music, as a new studio album will be released in the fourth quarter.
Aespa presented their first studio album in May, which has sold over 1 million copies. There is no break in sight, as SM Entertainment has announced a new mini album and a new world tour!
The SHINee comeback, which was announced in February, is no longer mentioned in the new plans.
One of the reasons for this could be that leader Onew took a 10-month break for health reasons and only started performing in public again in April.
In addition, Onew and Taemin signed new contracts for their solo activities in March. They are now only working with SM Entertainment for SHINee's activities.
In return, Onew's third mini album "Flow" will be released in September! And we'll probably be hearing new music from SHINee in 2025 at the latest.
