A new post on Blackpink's official Twitter account finally gives us the information we have been longing for: On March 31, Jisoo will finally release her first solo album!
Already at the beginning of the year, YG Entertainment confirmed that Jisoo would soon make her solo debut and was already shooting the music video. So we knew it couldn't be long anymore, but now we finally have certainty and a fixed date to look forward to!
It's still over three weeks until then, but you can already pre-order the album from us now:
JISOO FIRST SINGLE ALBUM
The singer has just announced four different versions:
First, let's take a look at the two photobook versions “Red” and “Black”: Buyers each get an 88-page photobook, a CD, a lyric paper and several cool extras: One of four possible photocards, one of four Polaroids and a bookmark. Everything is neatly stored in a rectangular box.
Pre-ordering is worthwhile, because the First Edition also exclusively includes one of four possible selfie photocards as well as a double-sided poster!
You can order these two versions both normally and with an additional YG Select Gift. The gift is an unreleased photocard! Note: The YG Select Gift version is listed separately in the shop. Only there do you also get the extra photocard. You can find the version here!
Alternatively, there is also the Weverse Gift Set: It includes both the Red and the Black version and a Weverse Gift. What exactly that is, is not yet known. Let yourself be surprised! The Weverse Set is also listed separately in the shop.

The Kit Album consists of a square red box that, of course, mainly contains an Air Kit. With it you can access digital content such as the songs, videos and exclusive photos. In addition there is a lyric paper, a credit paper and a set of 25 square photocards that are even printed on both sides!
Our personal highlight is the calendar with a wooden stand. The calendar consists of 12 cards that you can place on your desk or shelf with the stand. We especially like that the stand is made of wood, not plastic! On the front it says “JISOO”.
In the First Edition, one of four possible selfie photocards is also included!
Fans of vinyl records should definitely take a look at the Limited Edition. It consists of a vinyl record that presents Jisoo's new songs with a unique sound.
With Jisoo, all members of Blackpink will soon finally have a solo single in their discography!
The expectations are high, because Jennie, Rosé and Lisa have all stormed the charts in several countries, won awards and broken records with their releases:
Jennie got things started on November 12, 2018 with her single “Solo”, just two years after the debut of the now world-famous girl group. The song was a great success and made it clear that the members are strong competition on their own, too! Never before had the music video of a Korean solo artist been watched so often in the first 24 hours as Solo.
Afterwards, fans had to wait over two years until more members of Blackpink followed in Jennie's footsteps. In 2021, two of them made their solo debut:
Rosé's debut single album "R" was released on March 12, 2021 and contains the two titles "On the Ground" and "Gone". The album shows Rosé's vocal talent and emotional depth. The music video for "On the Ground" broke the almost eight-year-old record for the most-viewed music video by a Korean solo artist within 24 hours with 41.6 million views! Psy had set this record in 2013 with the hit "Gentlemen".
On September 10, 2021, Lisa released her single album "Lalisa", which also contains two tracks: the title song of the same name and "Money". The music video for the title song "Lalisa" was viewed 73.6 million times in the first 24 hours, breaking Taylor Swift's record for the most-viewed video by a female solo artist in 24 hours.
Jisoo focused on her acting career in 2021 and starred in the lead role of the K-drama “Snowdrop”. But now it's finally her turn too!
