SEVENTEEN's newest unit debuts at the end of the month! S.Coups x Mingyu announced their first mini album “HYPE VIBES” yesterday and have even already released a trailer in which they throw a party on the beach. So it's going to be sunny, cheerful and loud!
Here you can find all albums and merchandise from Seventeen.
S.Coups x Mingyu is already the second Seventeen unit formed in 2025. Just in March, Hoshi x Woozi rocked the stage with their first album “BEAM”. So there are now 4 units in total. BSS (DK, Hoshi & Seungkwan) kicked things off in 2018, followed by Jeonghan X Wonwoo in June 2024.
One reason more units are debuting lately is that the first Seventeen members have already begun their military service, which is mandatory for all men in South Korea. Jeonghan enlisted back in September 2024. Wonwoo followed him in April 2025, and Woozi and Hoshi will join them in mid-September.
Of course, we noticed that the members always started their service shortly after their unit debut. So we suspect that Mingyu will be next. S.Coups is exempt from military service because he is still recovering from surgery due to his torn ligament.
After all the news about military service and health, we are all the more excited to now present you with a real highlight: the new album from S.Coups and Mingyu – and of course all the colorful extras!
HYPE VIBES (1ST MINI ALBUM) (STANDARD VER.)
There are 2 Standard versions called “COMBI” and ”BUDDY”. Both mainly tempt you with a thick photobook. You can expect no fewer than 248 colorful pages, packed with high-quality photos of the two singers. On top of that come a 96-page notebook and a stylish book band. Inside, you'll find one of 2 possible mini CDs, a folded poster, a credit sticker, a Lyric QR card and of course photocards. Every album contains one of 4 possible solo photocards and one unit photocard.
HYPE VIBES (1ST MINI ALBUM) (COMPACT VER.)
The COMPACT version is just right for everyone who likes to be surprised! Apart from the Lyric QR card, all the other extras are left to chance: you'll receive one of 3 possible 12-page photobooks, one of 3 lenticular cards and one of 6 photocards.
HYPE VIBES (1ST MINI ALBUM) (KIT VER. & WEVERSE ALBUMS VER.)
As the name already suggests, the KIT version contains a KiT that you can connect to your phone to access digital content. Of course, there are still a few extras: a ball chain with which you can turn your KiT into a keychain, a title & credits card, a postcard and 18 photocards! You get a 16-piece photocard set and 2 selfie photocards.
Like the KIT version, the Weverse Albums version mainly offers digital content. You can also look forward to a card holder, one of 2 possible QR cards and one of 6 photocards!
Before you put the albums in your cart, we'd like to introduce you to a few exclusive extras. We also offer the STANDARD versions, as well as the COMPACT and WEVERSE ALBUMS version, with Soundwave photocards and a Weverse Gift.
You can find the variants with Weverse Gift here.
Here you can get the variants with Soundwave photocard.
As you can see, these versions leave nothing to be desired. Which one do you like best?
SEVENTEEN IN THE MILITARY
As already mentioned, Jeonghan and Wonwoo are already in the military, and Woozi and Hoshi will follow them in less than 2 weeks. But luckily, we don't have to say goodbye to all the members.
Joshua, Jun and The8 don't have to do military service because they are not South Korean citizens: Joshua holds US citizenship, while Jun and The8 hold Chinese citizenship. S.Coups is exempt from service because of his injury.
The remaining members - DK, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino - will all have to start their service within the next 2-4 years.
In general, military service lasts 18 months. So it will take quite a while until Seventeen is reunited. It's normal for K-Pop boy groups to be separated for a while sooner or later because of military service. But in the end, they often come back with full force and make us forget they were ever gone. Seventeen will surely reward us for our patience too and release new hits. We don't have to go without entirely, after all the units take turns and maybe we can even hope for one or another solo debut. We can hardly wait!
