2022 is coming to an end, another exciting year for K-pop fans. New groups have made their debut, hits that will stay on our playlists for a long time have been released, and even groups that haven't been active together for several years have teamed up for a new album.
But it wasn't just South Korea's singers who were busy this year, but also the countless talented actors and actresses:

Kim Go Eun (Little Woman), Kim Woo Bin (The Heirs) and Son Ye Jin (Crash Landing on You) are just a few of the big names who made us laugh or cry this year with new dramas!
Just like the K-pop industry, the acting business of course never stands still either, so it's no surprise that a number of K-dramas have already been announced that are waiting for us viewers next year.
These are a few of the actors whose new projects we're especially looking forward to:
Park Seo Joon
The popular actor already caused a stir last year when it was confirmed that he will appear in the Hollywood film “The Marvels” in 2023. We're very happy that with Park Seo Joon, another Korean actor is stepping onto the international stage and hopefully winning lots of new fans there!
Apart from that, Park Seo Joon has also already filmed a new K-drama called Gyeongseong Creature, which will air on Netflix next year. Although the series hasn't been released yet, it was announced in November that a second season will be produced soon!
Gyeongseong Creature is set in the spring of 1945, a time when Korea was occupied by Japan. It's about two young adults who have to fight a strange creature in order to survive! The drama is classified as a thriller and horror, so it's not for the faint of heart! The female lead is played by Han So Hee (Nevertheless).
Park Seo Joon was last seen in 2020 in the drama “Itaewon Class”. His return to the screen is long overdue!

Jung Hae In
In recent years, Jung Hae In has won the hearts of viewers with dramas like “A Piece of Your Mind” and “Snowdrop”.
At the beginning of 2023, or even as early as the end of this year, he will be seen in the second season of the Netflix series D.P.! The series revolves around the Korean military police tasked with catching deserters. The first season, also starring Jung Hae In in the lead role, aired back in August 2021. So fans of the drama had to wait a long time for the sequel.
If you missed the first season, now is the time to catch up!
Bae Suzy
This year, the actress and singer once again convinced us of her talent with the psychological drama “Anna”, and as always we want more!
Luckily, Suzy has been working on a new series called The Girl Downstairs for a few months now, with Yang Se Jong (My Country) in the male lead. He plays a student who falls in love with his neighbor. She is a former celebrity who left the spotlight to study. Of course, she is played by none other than Suzy.
We're sure that in her role Suzy will not only win the heart of a student, but also enchant us viewers!

Kim So Hyun
We've missed Kim So Hyun a lot, because the young actress was last seen in 2021 in “River Where the Moon Rises”.
Since the drama already aired in the first half of the year, it has now been almost 20 months since we were able to see Kim So Hyun in a new role. In 2022 she signed a contract with a new label, but we don't know whether that's the reason for the break.

Kim So Hyun apparently can't wait to return either, because she recently announced not just one, but two new series!
Filming for the first series “Is It Fate?” has already begun. It tells the story of young people who unexpectedly meet their first love again after 10 years.
Afterwards, Kim So Hyun will film Useless Lies together with Hwang Min Hyun (Alchemy of Souls), the former member of the boy group NU’EST. The mystery romance series is about a woman who can hear lies and who meets a murder suspect whom everyone believes to be guilty.
Which of the two series are you looking forward to more?
Of course, these are just a few of the actors we can look forward to in 2023. In addition, Nam Joo Hyuk (Twenty-Five Twenty-One), Ma Dong Sok (Train to Busan), Chae Soo Bin (Rookie Cops), Minho (SHINee) and many others are already hard at work on new projects.
Which actors would you like to see in a new series?
