Five months have passed since Monsta X released their 12th mini album “Reason” on January 9. In that time, though, fans didn't have to go entirely without the popular boy group:
In March, Joohoney made his solo debut with the mini album “Lights”, and just a few days ago “Overdrive” came out, the second mini album from rapper I.M. And today Monsta X has revealed a brand-new project: The very first subunit SHOWNU X HYUNGWON will debut on July 25 with their first album UNSEEN!
Seven very different versions were revealed on Twitter that could soon be part of your collection: Two Standard versions, two Limited versions, two Jewel Limited versions and one KiT version. The titles of the versions already give away part of what to expect, but let's now take a closer look at all of them:
The two Standard versions consist of an 84-page photobook protected by a dust jacket.
There are two different jackets. Which one you get is random. A few surprises also await you inside: The CD, one of eight photocards and one of four photos! If you pre-order the album, one of four possible paper hang tags is included too.
The Limited versions - UNSEEN and SEEN - also consist of a photobook.
This one is larger, though, and at 92 pages also thicker. Besides the CD, you will find one of four photocards, one of three folded posters and one of four lenticular bookmarks inside.
Alternatively, there are also the Jewel Limited versions: SHOWNU VER. and HYUNGWON VER.
They differ greatly from the other Limited versions. As the name suggests, buyers get a square jewel case. It contains a 16-page photobook, one of four photocards and one of four mini folded posters. It is a bit smaller than the other versions, but here you are guaranteed to get a photobook of the member of your choice. Perfect for everyone who would like a little more of their bias!
Do you prefer to collect digital albums? Don't worry, the guys have prepared something for that too:
The Kit version offers not only the digital AiR-Kit, which you can use to access the songs and exclusive photos, but also 20 photocards!
On top of that, you also get a postcard, a Title & Credit card and one of two Member photocards. Pre-ordering is worthwhile, because then another Member photocard is included, also one of two!
The Pre-Order Member cards naturally differ from the regularly included Member cards, so you are guaranteed not to get any duplicates.
Monsta X has been making hearts beat faster for over eight years now. The charismatic boy group celebrated a strong debut with Trespass on May 14, 2015, and has regularly topped the charts since 2017 at the latest!
The calm leader Shownu is known above all for his talent as a dancer, but he also draws attention with his deep, pleasant voice.
Hyungwon, meanwhile, stood out early on as an all-rounder who can both sing and dance and also looks very good. We're curious to see what the two have created together!
