It was already confirmed at the end of May that Mashiro and Yeseo will leave Kep1er as soon as the promotions for the album “Kep1going On” are completed. Now the time has come: Yesterday, 143 Entertainment released profile pictures of the new girl group MADEIN, which is set to debut in September!

Fans have been able to anticipate for some time that Kep1er will only be seven in the future, but only now is it becoming a reality. At least they won't have to do without Mashiro and Yeseo for long, as they are already preparing for their next project.

MADEIN CONSISTS OF SEVEN MEMBERS:

Mashiro, Yeseo, MiU, Suhye, Gaeun, Serina and Nagomi.

The former Kep1er members are not the only familiar faces.

MiU, Suhye and Gaeun debuted in February 2023 as a three-member girl group called “LIMELIGHT”.

Limelight have released four albums in their short career: the pre-debut mini album “LIMELIGHT” (2022), the debut mini album “LOVE & HAPPINESS” (2023), the single album “MADELEINE” (2023) and most recently the mini album “LAST DANCE” (2024) including the title track “TA-DA!”.

Now the group is making a fresh start with the new name MADEIN and 4 more members!

On July 16, the social media channels of LIMELIGHT were renamed and will serve as a platform for MADEIN in the future.

The remaining two members have been on the Japanese survival show “Produce 101 Japan The Girls” since October 2023. Nagomi ranked 23rd and Serina reached 21st place, and with MADEIN, the two can finally fulfill their dream of debuting.

In fact, the girl group has more Japanese members than Korean ones. In addition to Nagomi and Serine, MiU and Mashiro are also from Japan. Yeseo, Suhye and Gaeun are from South Korea.

The name MADEIN stands for “WE MADEIN U” and means that the group was formed by fans. Most of the members have become known through survival shows.
