I.M is best known as a member of the boy group Monsta X , but the charismatic rapper has also been going solo for two years. In February 2021, the first official solo album "Duality" was released, which is available digitally and as an LP. Today, I.M has finally announced his first comeback with OVERDRIVE!
Overdrive will be released on June 26th and will be shipped from Germany around mid-July. This time there will also be a physical album for fans to add to their shelves! In fact, today the rapper revealed four different versions with lots of great extras: two standard versions and two Poca albums.
We have summarized all the details for you here:
I.M (MONSTA X) - OVERDRIVE (EP ALBUM)
The two standard versions are called METAL and BLUE. You can expect a well-filled bag, in which you will find a 60-page photo book, a CD, a lyric book and many little surprises. This includes an ID card, a lenticular card, a five-piece sticker pack and one of two possible folding posters.
And of course, you can't miss a few photo cards: Each album includes two Mood photo cards and one of four possible Random photo cards.
I.M (MONSTA X) - OVERDRIVE (POCA ALBUM)
The two Poca albums are also called METAL and BLUE. They are not much bigger than photo cards and contain one of two QR card albums, two of five possible photo cards and two sticker sheets. Plus, there's exclusive digital content that you can access with the QR code on the QR Card Album.
The QR Card Album is a card with a QR code on the back. It is the same size as a regular photo card and also features a photo of I.M on the front. So you can keep it with the other cards in your collection folder!
Did you know that you can turn the sleeve of the Poca Album into a photo stand? Just fold it over and you can use it to display a photo card!
OVERDRIVE is I.M's first solo album since he left Starship Entertainment in August 2022.
He has been signed to Sony Music Korea since November. Most recently, "Reason", Monsta X's twelfth mini-album, was released in January. This makes Monsta X one of the groups that are successfully active together, even though some of the members are signed to different agencies!
