The twelve-member girl group Loona just released their new single “Pose” at the end of May. It was recorded especially for the finale of the music competition “Queendom 2”. Now, less than a week after the show’s finale, there are details about a new album!
You can pre-order “Flip That” from us starting today!
It has been almost eight months since Loona last released an album. The Japanese single album “Hula Hoop/ Star Seed” came out on September 15, 2021. Their last full album “[&]” is also almost a whole year ago, as it came out at the end of June 2021.
Most recently, Loona was on “Queendom 2” from the end of March until June 2, competing against Hyolyn, Viviz, Brave Girls, WJSN and Kep1er to determine the true number one. In the finale, WJSN won the crown, but Loona took second place with their new song “Pose”!
Fans are being rewarded for their support with a new album! The “Summer Special Mini Album (Flip That)” is coming out on June 21, in just under two weeks! The girl group has surely also gained a number of new fans, who are now ready to cheer the group on as well.
Summer Special Mini Album (Flip That)
Since Sunday, concept photos have been uploaded on Loona’s social media channels, showing the members in light-colored dresses surrounded by colorful flowers. So that is what summer looks like with Loona; we are looking forward to more!
The tracklist is also already known. It consists of 6 songs, including the title song “Flip That” and the final Queendom single “Pose”!
We also know the details of the physical album:
You can choose between four versions, each of which contains a 100-page photobook, a CD, one of 4 suitcase title stickers, 3 of 12 suitcase name stickers, 2 of 6 DIY DDAKJI’s, 3 of 36 photocards and one of 12 AR photocards. Anyone who pre-orders the album also gets a folded poster!
The photobook as well as the CD, the folded poster and the photocards differ depending on the version. There are actually 36 photocards per version, so a total of 144 different designs! A nightmare for collectors, but variety is guaranteed!
You can find all four versions of “Flip That” at Nolae now!
Queendom 2 was a chance for the participants to get people talking. Besides Loona, Kep1er also recently announced a comeback. In fact, their second album “DOUBLAST” is coming out on the same day as “Flip That”! Both have a summery concept. So is the next comeback battle already coming up? Which album are you most looking forward to?
