The singer rose to fame in 2003 as a member of the five-member boy group TVXQ, which today performs as a duo after Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun left the group in 2009. In 2010 the three founded the trio JYJ, and in the same year Junsu also started his career as a musical actor. In 2012 he released his first solo album.
So Junsu has been in the business for quite a long time! In total, eight solo albums from him have been released so far, most recently “Pit a Pat” in November 2020. International fans may have the feeling that the singer is rarely active because he doesn't even release one album per year, but that is mainly because he is on the theater stage very often. Unfortunately, anyone who doesn't live in Korea has hardly any chance to see one of his musicals. That's why fans often wait longingly for new music instead.
There is good news! On March 16, Junsu is releasing a new album titled “Dimension” after more than a year!
Dimension
“Dimension” is the first album Junsu is releasing after leaving C-JeS Entertainment at the end of last year. He worked with the agency for 12 years, but did not renew the contract when it expired. Instead, he founded his own one-man agency "Palmtree Island" and is now taking matters into his own hands!
Maybe this fresh start is also the reason why his new album is being released under his real name "Kim Junsu". All of his previous solo albums were released under his stage name "Xia", which he never gave up even after leaving TVXQ.
Now on to the details!
Buyers can choose between three versions, because there will be two photobook versions and one Kit Album.
You can get an impression of the concept from this short teaser on YouTube:
The square photobook versions - O (White) and I (Black) - each contain a 60-page photobook, a CD, a folded poster, a photo stand, one of 3 random photocards, one of 2 random film photos, a circular sticker and a bookmark. The whole thing is neatly held together by a box! All contents except the sticker and the bookmark are designed individually for each version. The photocards and film photos are different as well. Counting both versions together, that makes a total of 6 photocards and 4 film photos.
You can pre-order both versions from us in the shop.
That is an unusually large number of extras for Junsu's fans, because until now his albums usually contained only a photocard or a bookmark. Maybe every album will look like this in the future, now that Junsu is responsible for himself! We are all for it!
But let's not forget the Kit version! Besides the digital Air Kit, it contains a Title & Credit card, 24 photocards and one of 4 selfie photocards.
