On January 6, JYP Entertainment introduced the new 7-member boy group KickFlip. The group, consisting of Kyehoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju and Donghyeon, will make their debut on January 20 with the album “Flip it, Kick it!”.
Ever since the survival show LOUD, which aired in 2021, we have known that JYP Entertainment would be debuting a new boy group. After things stayed pretty quiet over the next few years, it was announced at the MAMA Awards 2024 in Los Angeles in November, among other things, that KickFlip would not consist of just 7 members, even though there were actually 5 after the survival show. The agency's management also confirmed that, at the time of the MAMA Awards, the final preparations were being made for KickFlip's debut the following year.
Then on January 6 it was finally time, and a pre-release track called “Umm Great” was released on the JYP Entertainment channel, which is meant to give us a taste of the first mini album “Flip it, Kick it!”.
