Itzy fans have a reason to celebrate, because after almost 10 months the charismatic girl group is returning with a new Korean album!
At the end of September last year, Itzy released the album “Crazy in Love” and performed the title track “Loco” a few days later on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”:
Since then, a Japanese compilation album titled “It’z Itzy” came out in December, and the first Japanese single “Voltage” in April of this year. But now it is finally time again for a whole album full of brand-new songs!
Checkmate
As with “Crazy In Love”, Checkmate also comes in five Standard Editions, each dedicated to one of the members!
Each version includes a 68-page photobook, which presumably will again consist mainly of photos of one of the members each.
This time there are again five different CDs, each printed with a different design. Which one you get is left to chance, just like with all the other extras. The extras include a lyric sheet, a sticker, one of 5 folded mini posters and 2 of 25 photocards.
Anyone who pre-orders the album also gets one of 2 possible 5-piece postcard sets, one of 5 special cards and one of 3 posters!
Unfortunately you can't choose which photobook you get, but the suspense and surprise are almost the best part of a new album, right? If you still want to be sure you get what you want, you can also order all 5 versions as a set!
Maybe the Limited Edition is the right one for you:
It contains the same extras as the Standard versions - a lyric sheet, a sticker, one of 5 folded mini posters, 2 of 25 photocards and one of 5 CDs. The photobook is a bit bigger, though, at 100 pages. Buyers also get one of 5 transparent cards and a Limited Edition card on top.
Here, too, every order placed before July 18 comes with one of 2 postcard sets, one of 5 special cards and one of 3 posters!
You can pre-order the Limited Edition here!
By the way, on Itzy's official Twitter account you can find a promotion schedule, on which the girl group also announces their first world tour!
