Which K-Pop fan doesn't know them? The Korean music shows like Inkigayo, Music Bank and M Countdown, where all K-Pop idols perform their new songs. Thanks to them, no week goes by without new performances being broadcast! Every major music broadcaster in South Korea - SBS, KBS, MBC and Mnet alike - has its own show. We've gotten used to them by now, and some fans may even have a music show they especially like to watch.
Recently, however, a brand-new music show from JTBC has been getting ready to launch!
JTBC is a general-interest broadcaster that airs news programs as well as entertainment shows and series. Starting in September, the new music show “K-909” is supposed to be part of the programming, too!
JTBC describes K-909 as a global music show for fans all over the world. Artists from a wide variety of genres such as K-Pop, folk, R&B or rock are supposed to appear there. They will not only perform new songs, but also get the chance to perform new versions of their songs or unreleased music. Above all, there is supposed to be a segment that shows, in documentary style, how the artists prepare their performances for the show.
We're already really excited about the new show, which gives us the chance to see even more of our favorite idols!
