iKON challenge us in their latest song “Tantara” to scream to the sky and raise our hands above our heads. That's not hard for us, because there is a reason to celebrate: on May 4, their third studio album Take Off is finally coming out! Tantara is a pre-release single from Take Off and gives us a first taste of the new album. Including Tantara, the album will contain 10 brand-new songs. The title track is called “U”.
The pre-release single and the tracklist are not the only teasers iKON has released in recent days. On Twitter you can also find several concept photos in which the guys show themselves casually in T-shirts, sweaters and jeans. Next, we can look forward to a concept film that will be uploaded on April 30, followed by the MV teaser on May 1!
iKON has also finally revealed the details of the physical album, which you can pre-order starting today:

You can choose between the green U version and the blue Tantara (딴따라) version. It's also worth buying both versions as a set, because most of the contents differ depending on the version. You can find out exactly what to expect here:
Both versions include a 100-page photobook and of course a CD. In addition, every buyer gets lots of colorful extras. The first three are all about travel, fitting the title “Take Off”: one of six possible passport photos, one of six passport booklets and one of six luggage tags. The passport photo is a sheet with eight identical photos. So you will always have some left over, even if you decide to use a few.
On top of that come one of two possible decorative stickers, one of seven folded posters and three of 30 photocards. Everything is neatly stored together in a box.
If you pre-order the album, you also have a chance at a rare photocard and a signed Polaroid. Attention: both extras are extremely limited and are randomly included in only a few albums. There are only 100 photocards and 60 signed Polaroids in total. Good luck!
As already said, almost all contents are designed differently depending on the version. Only the passport booklets, the luggage tags and the stickers you can get are the same. But the photobook, the box, the CD, the posters and the photocards differ. So you are guaranteed not to get any photocard twice if you buy the set!

At the end of 2022, iKON left YG Entertainment, the label they debuted with in 2015 and with which they released 10 albums. Most recently, the Japanese album Flashback (+ I Decide) came out in July 2022. We keep our fingers crossed that iKON's fresh start will be a success!

Besides the album, iKON has also announced a world tour: 2023 iKON WORLD TOUR TAKE OFF
The tour starts as early as May in Seoul and takes the guys to Europe, among other places! In June, iKON will visit Madrid (Spain), Essen (Germany) and Florence (Italy).
