Hybe's new girl group "LE SSERAFIM" debuts in May!

Not just one, not just 100, and not just 1000 fans have been eagerly awaiting the debut of LE SSERAFIM. In fact, the official Instagram account of the girl group, which was opened on March 27, already has over 498 thousand followers!

Where does all the hype about the new girl group come from?

Well, first of all, it is produced by HYBE, the agency that also has the world famous boy group BTS under contract. When it was announced that HYBE was planning its first girl group, the excitement was already high, because many fans have high expectations of the future group, especially because of BTS.

But it became even more exciting when the first rumors about the members started to circulate.

The talk is about Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chaewon. The two are known to fans worldwide as members of the extremely successful project group IZ*ONE, which disbanded in April 2021. Sakura was even previously active for many years as a member of the popular Japanese girl group AKB48.

Not only that; rumored to be another member was Huh Yunjin, who like Sakura and Chaewon was featured in Produce 48 - the survival show in which IZ*ONE was created - but was eliminated in the semi-finals. By that time, she had already built up a large fan base that eagerly awaited news from the singer.

However, many more weeks passed after the rumors first surfaced until HYBE's founder Bang Si Hyuk finally clarified the matter. On March 14, he finally announced that Sakura and Chaewon had indeed signed a contract with the agency and would soon debut in the new girl group.

To celebrate this announcement, he also released a photo of himself with the two idols.

On March 27, the first pictures were uploaded on the new Instagram account of the girl group. They show the logo and the name of the group: "LE SSERAFIM". If the letters are rearranged, they can be used to form the phrase "IM FEARLESS", which is also part of the logo. The phrase represents the strength and courage of the members.

These members were introduced on Instagram with photos and on Youtube with short videos since April 3. Sakura made the beginning. This was followed by new faces. Kim Garam and the youngest Hong Eunchae, who studied dance. Next, Chaewon was introduced as the leader of LE SSERAFIM! After that, Japanese-Dutch Kazuha was introduced, who is probably rather unknown to most K-Pop fans. However, she has actually been active as a professional ballerina for many years! Last up was Huh Yunjin, so once again a familiar face.

These six will debut on May 3 with their first album "Fearless"!

There will be two versions, each containing a 112-page photo book, a CD, a sticker, a transfer paper, a postcard and one of 12 photo cards. Everything comes together in a box that, like the photo book and CD, is customized depending on the version.
