If you regularly tune in to Korean dramas, you may have already heard of “My Lovely Liar”, because since its premiere at the end of July, the series has thrilled viewers worldwide and regularly topped the viewer ratings! This is partly thanks to the two leads: actress Kim So Hyun and actor and singer Hwang Min Hyun! Now you can bring the series home too, because the official soundtrack album for the hit drama will be released at the end of September!
What if you could hear whether the person in front of you is lying to you or telling the truth? That sounds very handy at first, but for Mok Sol Hee, the protagonist of the K-drama “My Lovely Liar”, it is a bitter reality. She has lost her trust in other people because she has been lied to so often.
Her mysterious new neighbor catches her interest because he always tells the truth, no matter how absurd it sounds! He is the songwriter Kim Do Ha, who spends most of his time hiding in his apartment since being accused of murder. He is fascinated by the strange Mok Sol Hee, because she is the only one who believes him.
My Lovely Liar is a successful mix of romance, mystery and action!
The story is accompanied by emotional ballads and sweet love songs.
The performers include the girl group Viviz, the solo singer Jo Yuri (ex-IZ*ONE), Sung Han Bin of ZEROBASEONE and, of course, Hwang Min Hyun himself!
Besides a CD with the series' soundtracks, the OST album also includes a 20-page booklet and four photocards!
OST albums are a rare chance to get your hands on photocards of actors like Kim So Hyun. Who else besides the two leads will appear on the photocards and what they look like remains a secret for now. We can hardly wait to unbox the album!
The series is not over yet: the last two episodes will air early next week, on September 18 and 19. Are you excited for the big finale?
If you missed the drama, you can still catch up now and experience the finale as it happens!
Kim So Hyun & Hwang Min Hyun
The lead actress Kim So Hyun has been acting since a young age and has appeared in many successful series such as “Who Are You: School 2015”, “Let’s Fight Ghost”, or “The Tale of Nokdu”. “My Lovely Liar” marks her long-awaited return to the screen after two years!
Hwang Min Hyun debuted in 2012 in the boy group NU’EST. In 2017, he won many new fans through his participation in the survival show “Produce 101”. He finished in ninth place in the end and thereby won a spot in the project group “Wanna One”. The boy group achieved great success until it disbanded in early 2019. Minhyun then returned to NU’EST. However, NU’EST also disbanded in 2022. Afterwards, Minhyun released his first solo album “Truth or Lie”.
In addition, he has also been active as an actor since 2020: “My Lovely Liar” is a special milestone for Minhyun, because it is the first time he plays the lead role. Previously, he could be seen in the dramas “Live On” and “Alchemy of Souls”.
Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun convinced viewers with their chemistry and made us laugh and cry over the past episodes. Hopefully we will get to see them in new projects again soon!
