What does this mysterious message mean? It was posted yesterday on Twice’s Twitter and Instagram accounts as well as on the official website. The message comes with an image showing a hand on a steering wheel. Nothing more. But that is already enough for the girl group’s fans to come up with a theory: They are convinced that Jihyo will make her solo debut in August!
K-pop fans are known for finding even the smallest clues and quickly coming up with theories that often turn out to be true.
This time, the detectives among the Twice fans have discovered three clues that support their theory:
- Jihyo’s latest nail design matches the nails seen in the mysterious image.
- Fans found the file name of the image on Twice’s website: twice_notice_20230604162725_TW-JH-M1-Title LOGO Teaser_0602
The section TW-JH-M1 is especially interesting. Fans speculate that the letters stand for “Twice Jihyo Mini Album 1”. - On April 15, at Twice’s first READY TO BE World Tour concert, Jihyo sang a self-written song called “Nightmare”. This possibly means that she is ready for her solo debut!
Are you convinced by the fan theory?
Jihyo would only be the second member of Twice to debut solo. In June 2022, Nayeon made the start with her album “I’m Nayeon" including the title song “Pop!”.
It looks like an exciting year is ahead for ONCE! After all, the debut album of Twice’s very first subunit MISAMO is also being released on July 26.
