The new boy group of Zico is already waiting in the wings!

2022 HYBE Briefing with the Community still cut: Zico

The K-pop industry never stands still, and so there is exciting news again today, regarding the upcoming debut of a boy band as well as the start of a new variety show.

A boy group produced by Zico is about to enter the stage!

Zico is a well-known producer and rapper and has produced many successful hits in the past, both for his own career and for other K-pop artists. His reputation as a creative genius and his experience in the K-Pop industry are increasing the anticipation for his latest project.

Already in the 2022 HYBE Briefing with the Community, Zico has spoken of the boy group that will debut soon and today Korean news platform SPOTV News reported that we can expect to see the group as early as May.

"The team will produce music that both the public and the fandom can enjoy without any reservation. I can definitely say you can look forward to this team." - Zico (HYBE Briefing)

The group is managed by KOZ Entertainment. This is a label that Zico founded in January 2019. Previously, the label had only signed singer-songwriter Dvwn in addition to Zico. In November 2020, HYBE took over the label, so since then it belongs to HYBE Corporation. Other labels under HYBE include Pledis (Seventeen & fromis_9), Big Hit Music (BTS & TXT) or Source Music (Le sserafim).

After Le sserafim and NewJeans by HYBE conquered the hearts of fans worldwide in no time last year, the expectations for the new boy group are naturally high.

Zico has already proven his talent as a producer in the past by leading his group Block B to success. The exact details of the group's name, concept and musical style are still unclear at the moment, but we trust that Zico's boy group will bring a breath of fresh air to the K-pop scene!

But there is other exciting news aside from new boy groups.

EXO's D.O., Crush, Yang Se-chan, Choi Jung-hoon and Lee Yong-jin are among the stars.

The colorful posters for the show already give hope for lots of fun and entertainment. In the show, the stars will compete against each other in various tasks and challenges. First teasers show a cheerful chaos, of which we definitely want to see more!
