The young boy group Big Ocean announced their first Europe tour two days ago. The guys haven't even celebrated their first anniversary yet and have already gathered a loyal fanbase around them. As part of the tour, Big Ocean will visit 4 different countries and have also confirmed their participation in a German K-Pop festival!
Big Ocean is a three-member boy group from Parastar Entertainment, who debuted on April 20, 2024 with the digital single “Glow”. Glow is a remake of H.O.T’s hit “Hope” and was released on the Day of Persons with Disabilities in South Korea.
The group attracted attention even before their debut, because Big Ocean is the first deaf idol group ever! All three members suffer from different forms of hearing loss and some of them also wear hearing aids. They have set themselves the goal of breaking down misunderstandings and prejudices towards people with disabilities.

“Glow” was followed by two more digital singles - “Blow” in July and “Slow (Feat. Young K (DAY6))” in August - until their first mini album “Follow” was finally released on November 12, 2024. It contains the three previous singles and a new song called “Flow”. A month ago, Big Ocean released their fourth digital single “Bright”.
Even though the boy group has only presented 5 songs so far, they already have over 600 thousand followers on TikTok and almost 1 million followers on Instagram! Are you one of them? Then you can surely hardly wait to see the members live!

About the members of Big Ocean:

The boy group consists of three singers: Chanyeon, Hyunjin and Jiseok. All three are over 20 years old and had already worked in other fields before their debut. Chanyeon was an audiologist (hearing aid acoustician) at Korea University Anam Hospital. Jiseok was an alpine skier on the Seoul para-ski team. Hyunjin started a YouTube channel during his student days and talked there about misunderstandings about people with hearing impairments.
The three use different sign languages - Korean, American and International - in their performances and thrill especially fans who are also hearing impaired. Vibrating smartwatches and light signals help Chanyeon and the others stay on beat during their performances.
We're already excited to see everything they will achieve in the future!
