The Next Chapter for JYP: A2K and Nizi Project Season 2

"I wish I could put together a team of artists that America and the whole world will fall in love with." This is what J.Y. Park said to viewers of the first episode of A2K. "A2K" stands for AMERICA TO KOREA and is the title of JYP's latest survival show. Today, the second episode was released on Youtube. Have you seen it yet?

"A2K" is far from JYP's first survival show. Many of JYP's best known groups like Twice, Stray Kids and most recently NiziU have originated in Survival shows. This year, two new shows are airing at once: A2K and Nizi Project Season 2.

A2K

In A2K, J.Y. Park personally searches for fresh talent from America.

The singer and hit producer founded JYP Entertainment and wrote some of our favorite songs. What is Love, Feel Special and Cry For Me by Twice or My Pace by Stray Kids are just a few examples.

Now J.Y. Park is venturing into a whole new project. In A2K, he wants to train American talents through the established K-Pop system to form a new and unique global girl group. The first episode aired on Youtube on July 14 and the second followed a few hours ago.

In the two episodes we have already met seven candidates who have successfully passed the audition and will soon continue to fight for their dream in the second round in LA:

The first candidate was 17-year-old student Camila from Canada. She wowed JYP with her strong voice. At the end of the second episode, the youngest contestant so far introduced herself. 12-year-old Kaylee Lee from Philadelphia. She taught herself to sing and surprised JYP with her talent.

In the next episode, the show continues in LA!

All the successful contestants will train for a week at a boot camp in LA. Afterwards, JYP will select the best to accompany him to Korea to continue training and compete for the debut.

Nizi Project Season 2

Today, a new teaser of the second Nizi Project season was uploaded on Youtube, where we finally get to see more of the first contestants. Even some JYP trainees are coming to the audition!

Nizi Project aired in 2020. Similar to A2K, JYP looked for new talent and trained them first in a boot camp and finally in Korea. Only, in Nizi Project, a Japanese girl group was formed. JYP traveled across Japan for the auditions and the boot camp was held in Tokyo. In the end, there were nine winners who debuted as NiziU in December 2020:
