BTS MEMORIES is a photo book and DVD collection featuring BTS's best memories of each year. The first Memories package was released on June 16, 2015.
BTS didn't leave their ARMY alone even during the pandemic and once again revolutionized the K-pop world. With online concerts, they managed to keep the connection with their fans alive, if not even strengthen it.
Originally, a world tour had been planned that would have taken them to the Olympiastadion in Berlin for a full 2 days, but like so many other things, this event couldn't take place as planned either - sadly! Nevertheless, the 7 guys treated their fans to 3 online concerts, which together sold more than 1.75 million tickets.
They also took part in the online graduation ceremony “Dear Class of 2020”, where they sang a few songs and gave speeches for the graduates - if that doesn't make up for the graduation ceremonies that fell victim to the pandemic!
BTS can shine with their musical achievements anew every year, and the digital strategy they developed together with their label Big Hit Entertainment also helped them not to be forgotten, especially during the difficult pandemic times - on the contrary, in 2020 they once again set groundbreaking records. Thanks to their digital strategy and the constant support of their fan community, in 2020 they managed, despite all obstacles, to reach the top of the US charts for the first time. But they didn't just do it once, no - they did it a full two times! First with their single “Dynamite” and shortly afterwards with their remix of “Savage Love” (Jason Derulo). If that's not a huge success!
A short musical look back at the year 2020
BTS released “Map of the Soul: 7” on February 21. The album sold a full 4.1 million copies within just nine days (Gaon). On August 21, the band released their first English-language single “Dynamite”, whose music video, with more than 101 million views on the first day, counts as the YouTube video with the most views within 24 hours and thus once again set a record. On November 20, BTS released their fifth studio album “BE”.
