The rumors have been going around for a while and now it's finally official: Blackpink is planning a comeback! So in August we can finally look forward to new music!
Since their debut in 2016, the girl group has released 9 albums, three of them Japanese. That is relatively few, especially considering how successful Blackpink has been from the very beginning. No wonder, then, that every new song and every new album is eagerly awaited. The announcement of a comeback has therefore caused excitement among K-pop fans worldwide! Especially since the last album "The Album" was already released in October 2020, that is 19 months ago!
According to YG Entertainment, the members of Blackpink are already almost done recording the new album and will film the music video in July.
Apart from the album, the label also announced further big projects for Blackpink!
One of them is a world tour towards the end of the year. YG apparently has big plans, because the tour is supposed to become the biggest world tour by a K-pop girl group ever!
It looks like we're in for quite a lot this year. We can hardly wait!
